Dead pipes are one of the most common points of entry for a rat to get into your premises. An old pipe that was once in service and that is now out of service creates a warm, dry area for rats to burrow in peace. They will go to the end of the pipe and begin to burrow outwards eventually finding their way into your home or business.
Identifying dead pipes can be done using CCTV Inpestion coupled with deductive testing. Eliminating what pipes are in service via dye testing and running water.
When the dead pipes are identified, depending on the access to the mouth of the pipe, they can be sealed off using Mechanical Plugs, Ratblock Bags or Cured in Place Liners to block connections to the sewer.
